If you are in South Africa with your spouse or life partner and have found a job, you can add working rights to your Spousal or Life Partner Visa. It’s important to remember that these rights do not come automatically and must be applied for. This is considered a work endorsement addition to the visa.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADDING WORKING RIGHTS TO THE LIFE PARTNER/SPOUSAL VISA?

The applicant must have a valid Spousal or Life Partner Visa, as well as a motivational letter or contract of employment from a company registered in South Africa. Please note that working rights are job specific. Each time there is a change in jobs, you must add new working rights to your visa.
